MWCTell me about your personal and professional background?

Gordon Andres: I am from linden Guyana born there. I love real people that keep it real. I like to have intellectual conversations even if its intense and we argue and fight. Once I leave at the end with some form of knowledge I am good. I was Raised in East New York Brooklyn. My professional background is health care. I work for insurance companies as a quality coordinator, medical record auditor. And I am in school pursuing my masters in health care management and health care administration.

MWC: What makes you laugh?
Gordon Andres: What makes me laugh is all the silly things that people do and say I love observing people behavior patterns lol... i might consider being a psychologist or a counselor one day

MWC: Are you single?
 Gordon Andres: yes

MWC: Do you play any instruments?
Gordon Andres: I do not play any instruments my voice is the only instrument I'm decent at lol

MWC: What keeps you going?
Gordon Andres: God keeps me going. Everyday I'm grateful to him for waking up. My passion and ambition keeps me going. I'm not really happy with the idea of a fancy car in front of the projects. I want more for myself.

MWC: If you don't make it in music what would be your next step?

Gordon Andres: If I don't make in in music I would be a director of quality management on my job. I would love to get into artist management and movie and film directing. I would also consider being a counselor or a life coach

MWC: If you were to make it who would be your biggest competition? And would you surpass them and why?
Gordon Andres: If i make it no one would be my biggest competition i choose to excel not compete. And the fact that Michael Jackson is dead. there is no competition lol

MWC: What projects do you have coming up?
Gordon Andres: I'm working on releasing an EP sometime before the end of the year. But i also plan on opening up for a major artist in Guyana in august. Shhhhh cant say as of now.

MWC: In the age of Internet stars what would make you stand out amongst the many artist?

Gordon Andres: What would make me stand out is my image. I'll probably change the face of R&B because i have dreads and my style. R&b needs me!!

Living in a Legend: Whitney Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012)

My aunt Amy was a huge fan of Whitney Houston so much so when I think of her I hear "saving all my love" twinkling in the background of my memories. Whitney Houston is a legend with an angelic voice that will always live on and on. Her tunes and astronomical vocals go beyond compare. That urban Newark attitude and flare, gave flavor to her upbeat rhythms and sensual ballets. Topping the charts worldwide, Grammy’s, billboards, and AMA's doesn't do justice to describe this hailed diva!

On the wake of the Grammy's tonight, people tweeted a day before saying "ooh hopefully, the Grammy will have some time to whip up a tribute to her" and "24 hours to the Grammy’s I wonder if they can have a dedication". Is this what we as fans and human beings of this world has resulted to? Television is already in the works; I can see the titles now. "The rise and fall of a legend", "The dying Diva" I mean really? Regardless of her dynamic downfalls and fuck ups let’s not forget what she is known and loved for. Let’s not forget she is a mother, a daughter, and a friend. Everyone that has a pulse makes mistakes some larger than others, but Whitney Houston has given us a gem in music, life, and entertainment. Rest in Peace Whitney Houston you are a true artist, woman, and teacher. Through your music you will live forever and so will I!

I LOVE MY BIG MEN!! BUT ....

To my big men, I love you so that hefty, heavy, large and in charge attitude. Big daddy, big bosses I love em all the same. However, big is turning out not to be so good. I understand that their are some who are born by big and tall people but you have to keep your body in shape and not riddle your self with junk food, alcohol , and smoke to make matters worse. Rick Ross suffers seizures, Victor Herbert hit with pulmonary embolism, Big Pun passed, Heavy D passed, and now the latest EPMD artist Erick Sermon has a heart attack. Erick is weighing in at 350 pounds and a 6 ft 2 stature. He is doing ok, but for how long?
My big men its nothing wrong with the bigness but its very wrong when it isn't healthy. Going to the gym, eating right, and staying active is key. We all; but most likely many, like to have a drink and a occasional smoke now and then. However, unlike yesteryear, the food we eat, the water we drink, and other things that we may consume arent the same anymore. Most things are processed with dyes, preservatives, insecticides, and ingredients that can only be recognized in a chem lab. Word to the wise watch what you eat and always stay up on your feet!!! RUN!!!!!
